Quarter-Finals Part Two

There were no seeding upsets on the second day of quarter-final matches at Wadi Degla, but plenty of drama.

In the women's Wadi Degla Open quarters Tesni Evans won the battle of the qualifiers, coming from a game down to beat Salma Hany Ibrahim, while Nouran Gohar beat Mariam Metwally in straight games.

The first men's match saw defending champion Gregory Gaultier through, with Tarek Momen saving match balls in the third before succumbing in four games.

Ramy Ashour won his all-Egyptian match against Fares Dessouky, taking the first two games 11/6 and 17/15 in 10 and 33 minutes.

From 7-1 down in the third Dessouky recovered to 8-all, but was frustrated with a number of decisions thast didn't go his way, and when he was denied a stroke at 8-10 he offered his hand and Ashour was through.
